Hotel Saint Cecilia is proud to be a part of Bunkhouse, which is a hospitality company created by hotelier Liz Lambert that believes in inspired design, connection to place and the value of community. Bunkhouse has designed and developed a celebrated portfolio of hospitality projects including Hotel San Jos, Hotel Saint Cecilia, Austin Motel, and Jos Coffee in Austin, Hotel Havana and Ocho in San Antonio, El Cosmico in Marfa, Texas, The Phoenix in San Francisco, California, and Hotel San Cristobal in Baja, Mexico.

**We're looking for someone with;**

Must have two (2) years related, progressive experience in food & beverage industry and experience in directing the work of others

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), college degree preferred

Valid and current TABC Certification

Current Food Handlers Certification

Experience with or knowledge of inventory controls (i.e. food, beverage, kitchen supplies/utensils, food and beverage waste, and employee consumption)

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to speak effectively before groups

Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. Point of Sale)

**Responsibilities;**

Support the lounge team in successful day-to-day operations front-of-house and back-of-house as needed

Welcoming guests upon their arrival and assisting them with their seating arrangements for lounge and events service.

Assisting managers and organizers with planning the layout and logistics of events.

Setting up and managing staff shifts and timetables.

Developing and providing staff with the necessary training, including customer service and serving etiquette.

Managing the setup and execution of events.

Running the floor and coordinating the food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen and service staff.

Monitoring the inventory of supplies, equipment, and furniture.

Ensuring that the venue and facilities remain neat and clean.

Ensuring that all applicable safety regulations are communicated and adhered to.

Excellent leadership abilities and the ability to manage many staff members.

Great time management and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

The ability to provide an excellent level of customer service, even in stressful situations.

Physically fit with good stamina for physical tasks such as moving and lifting furniture and standing for long periods of time.

Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends and holidays.

Clear communication of initiatives (change/focus) to the team

Adhere to dress code policies during shift and ensure that all employees do as well

Create training schedule to provide to team members covering daily operations, service, sanitation, and safety procedures

Maintain working knowledge of all beverage recipes, products and production procedures

Assist AGM and General Manager in establishing cost control objectives and implementing action plans

Complete inventory standards with Beverage Coordinator and implement procedures to consistently conduct an accurate inventory

Ensure open lines of communication with staff, all departments, and upper management at all times via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the lounge are met

Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements

Attend relevant meetings

Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction

Based upon fluctuating demands of the lounge and to exceed guest expectations, it may be necessary for you perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to your position. You may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.
