Shift schedule - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Monday - Friday
We are seeking a Production Associate to join our team in Battle Creek, MI.
Job Description:
As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for the production of finished product at our Battle Creek, MI plant. This position requires the ability to work in a team environment and perform duties that require a high level of attention to detail. This position requires the ability to follow instructions and maintain a safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce parts as directed by material control, and or the engineering department so to attain the required production levels and quality.
- Prep and inspect parts for final production.
- Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Observe machine operations to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Monitor the output of quality parts through inspection, scrap records, statistical process controls, and station control sheets.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Feed scrap corrugated paperboard material into machineHeld accountable for driving forklift and moving material from production to outbound area.
- Held accountable for order picking and loading semi-trucks with forklift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English and perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to work in a team environment and perform tasks that require frequent lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to use common hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, etc.. (no power tools)
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.57 per hour
