The Lawn Maintenance Technician will perform all tasks necessary to maintain grounds of property in a visually pleasing well-kept appearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, trims shrubs, hedges and trees, fertilize plants, control weed growth apply mulch, etc.
• Observe all company safety rules and be familiar with material safety data sheet (MSDS) for all chemicals used.
• Apply chemical product according to manufacturer’s instructions for safe use.
• Removes trash resulting from landscaping/grounds keeping work and all refuse found on grounds.
• Maintains all equipment and tools in good working order.
• Perform all other grounds/lawn maintenance tasks as required by lead or property manager.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as necessary.
• Assist maintenance personnel.
• Pressure wash sidewalks
• Completes daily logs and submits to Landscape Supervisor daily
• Must comply with all CFI policies and procedures.
• Must represent CFI in a professional manner through appearance, dress and professional behavior at all times, as dictated in the Team Member’s Handbook.
• Must work diligently to gain knowledge and experience to execute their role to its full potential. 
• Other duties as assigned by Corporate Facilities leadership.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Must be able to operate all types of lawn maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of safe chemical application procedures.
• At least one-year practical experience in gardening, grounds keeping, or landscaping required.

Education and/or Experience
High School, GED or Trade School. Study course related to work preferred.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other team members of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Abilities
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

Certifications, Licenses,  Registrations

• Possess a valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
