The Maintenance Technician aids in maintaining the property and equipment of the facility. This position maintains mechanical and electrical equipment in operable conditions. They respond to maintenance requests made by Residents and other facility personnel and perform other additional duties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of methods, materials, and toolsKnowledge of HVAC service and repairs is a plusKnowledge of plumbing, electrical, and constructionKnowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautionsAbility to detect defects in equipment and to make proper repairs or adjustmentsAbility to follow instructions with little to no supervisionKeep maintenance shops clean and organizedHas the ability to find work without being toldWork with outside contractorsEducation and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Two years' experience in a Healthcare setting preferred
Two years' experience as a Maintenance Technician required
Other Qualifications:
Valid driver's license
EPA certification preferred
On call rotation required
Any other duties assigned
