We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our thriving team in the energy industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for data and analytics, looking to further their career in a highly strategic role. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing data-driven insights, and delivering strategic recommendations to drive our business forward.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis and interpretation to influence strategic decisions and policy-making.
- Develop, implement and maintain data integration processes between systems.
- Create and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Power BI.
- Perform detailed data exploration and validation from a variety of sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and potential areas where data can drive decision making.
- Design and develop data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to customers and company leaders.
- Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports.
- Develop and maintain databases, data systems, data pipelines, and data visualization tools.
- Present and explain information in an accessible way, i.e., data visualization.
- Proactively analyze trends and patterns in complex data sets, interpret, analyze and troubleshoot data.
- Analytical Skills Strong ability to analyze large volumes of data to find patterns and insights.
- Technical Proficiency Expertise in data analysis tools like SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Communication Skills Ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field.
- 5 years of experience in a data analysis or related role.
- Proficient in Power BI and other data visualization tools.
- Strong knowledge of data integration and the creation of dashboards.
- Experience in the Energy industry is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Familiarity with data management tools, including SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
