Salary: Hourly rate of $60-$65 (based on experience)
Schedule: Mondays from 7:00am-4:00pm, and Thursdays from 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Summary: The Registered Dental Hygienist performs oral prophylaxis procedures by removing hard deposits and stains under the supervision of a licensed dentist. This position requires a valid hygiene state license, including an X-ray license, and current CPR certification.
Job Responsibilities: Perform complete oral prophylaxis procedures. Take digital x-rays and evaluate oral tissue health. Administer injectable anesthesia and nitrous oxide/oxygen. Scale, polish, and apply fluoride as necessary. Perform periodontal soft tissue curettage and root planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention. Record patient information accurately in the dental software system. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hygiene room and equipment. Manage supplies and assist in other office areas as needed.
Qualifications: Valid hygiene state license with X-ray certification. Current CPR certification. High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication and patient management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proficiency with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix).
