Position Summary:

Prepares all income statement reporting information. Performs financial analysis and participate in special projects for assigned departments. Contribute financial and strategic support to various business teams.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions:

  • Analyzes sales, gross margin, and/or operating expenses by product line.
  • Participates in the annual audit process.
  • Participates in the annual budget process for assigned departments
  • Provides financial support to the assigned departments as needed.
  • Interprets financial operating results and make recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement.
  • Proactively reengineers processes and procedures to reduce time/cost/rework and/or increase accuracy/quality.
  • Continually enhances the quality, reliability and responsiveness of the information provided.
  • Participates in ad-hoc financial projects as required for timely and effective decision making.

Secondary Functions:

  • Other duties as assigned

To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as:

  • VP & Directors of assigned departments
  • For Operations support: Production Line and Line Supervisors
  • For Commercial: Field Personnel and Client Services
  • Information Technology

Skills & Capabilities:

The ideal candidate for this position will exhibit the following skills and capabilities:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
Qualifications:

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • One to three years of experience in a business environment
    • Experience with an ERP database system preferred
  • Additional Skills/Knowledge:
    • Working knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of accounting and financial reporting.
    • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel
    • Language: Fluency in English required

  • Up to 5% of time

The annual salary range Werfen reasonably expects to pay for the position is $75,000 to $85,000. Compensation is reasonably based upon multiple factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and specific needs of the business.
