Essential Functions
• Establish, update, and maintain OWIs, SOPs, safety protocols, and AQLs as needed to support our food safety, compliance, and quality efforts.
• In bottling-related operations, identifies and closes gaps in quality standards, systems, and programs and leads cross-functional teams to improve overall quality performance.
• Designs, improves, conducts, and leads quality control audits, ensuring the company is prepared for internal or external audits, and processes and documentation are compliant with required standards.
• Responsible for ensuring that wine labelling and packaging meets all compliance requirements.
• Responsibility to facilitate and participate in root-cause problem solving activities to address issues and drive process and performance improvements that reduce defects, risk, and waste.
Physical Demands/Qualifications
Must be able to ascend/descend ladders and stairs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time throughout the workday.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to operate a computer for long periods of time without experiencing abnormal hand, wrist, or eye strain.
• Must have good communication skills in person, on the telephone, and mobile phone.
• Must have coordination sufficient to operate various office machines.
Non-Physical Demands/Qualifications
• Preferred: BS degree or higher in Engineering, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Fermentation Science, Food Science, or Enology or at least 1 years of experience in a Quality Control role.
• Preferred: Food Safety, SQF, HACCP, or HARPC experience.
• Ability to define, implement, and follow procedures.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook is required. Visio experience preferred.
• Possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to successfully support a team; foster teamwork, sharing of responsibilities taking initiative and open communication.
• Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with management, employees, and guests in a positive and professional manner.
• Highly organized and detailed oriented.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking a plus
