As a licensed Senior Therapist in one of our Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), you will be working on-site collaboratively alongside our medical team to provide integrated care to our patients. As a go-to on-site resource for mental health, you will provide evaluations, psycho-social education, just-in-time consultations, mentoring, and treatment service to our clients. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to join the physician in the exam room to discuss with clients how to improve their well-being and quality of life.

This role assists clients in developing and accomplishing treatment goals in individual and group settings and provides consultation and education to community groups, and emergency services. Additionally, this role works competently with clients with coexisting disorders.

Scheduled Hours: 40 hours a week In Clinic

Monday - Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm) with 1 evening (10:30 am - 7:00 pm)

This location is a qualified NHSC Loan Repayment Program site. As such, staff working at this site are eligible to apply for up to $25,000 a year in student loan repayments.We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus and highly competitive, comprehensive BENEFIT OPTIONS!

Essential Functions

* Provides crisis intervention services to stabilize and assess the need for, and, if possible deflect a client from psychiatric hospitalization.

* Secures and coordinates mental health services for the client between various providers, DCFS workers, and the client or the client's caretaker.

* Facilitates clinical consultation, as assigned.

* Provides input into the scope, types, and evaluation of clinical and administrative programming that is offered utilizing published best practices and empirically proven clinical methodologies in the delivery of client care.

* Ensures effective communication among all staff regarding administrative and clinical issues.

* Maintains accountability standards required by LCHD/CHC and funding sources relative to the quality and quantity of services provided by staff members.

* Recommends to Program Coordinator the transfer of clients from programs in which they are unable or unwilling to function adequately.

* Performs initial evaluations and assessments of potential clients regarding their appropriateness for participation in the program.

* Focuses on client empowerment, evidence-based or adopted best practices in providing treatment, seeking to assist clients to build strengths to meet their treatment needs.

* Facilitates with clients and collaborates with the treatment team to develop, review and update treatment goals and referrals both internally and externally.

* Organizes and participates in treatment-related clinical conferences and staffings on assigned clients.

* Provides education and direction to clients, family members, and/or significant others.

* Takes responsibility for training in and documenting clinical chart requirements to meet program and state standards.

* Participates in the collection of client fees including completing forms for third-part coverage and discussing balances due with clients, as appropriate.

* Acquires and utilizes knowledge of LCHD/CHC database and word processing software and other equipment commensurate with position.

Knowledge Skills Abilities and Education Required

* A Master's degree in a related field is required.

* Licensure by the state of Illinois as aLicensedMarriage& Family Therapist(LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) isrequired.
