Prioritize good customer service by providing rapid, but effective communication for all requests. Develop and maintain various technology resources for use internally and externally for the Department of Human Services. Participate in the positive promotion of the Department of Human Services and the programs and services provided by divisions within the Department by maintaining current information on the Website, Intranet, and social media outlets. Troubleshoot internal software systems, administer user access to various programs, and is responsible for equipment allocation to staff. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and IT to update and configure assigned programs. Organize and maintain requests for logistical operations for the agency, including purchasing, building maintenance and office supplies.

The Weld County Department of Human Services (WCDHS) employs over 450 workers, who have the skills, passion and drive to service Weld County citizens in 31 incorporated municipalities and across almost 4,000 square miles.

$64,394.21 - $81,572.66 annually, plus benefits (see benefits tab on the job posting). The position will normally start at $64,394.21 annually.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Partner Support (25%)
•Provides a high level of customer service to internal and external clients, requiring frequent communication and collaboration with partners including County IT, State representatives, and other vendors on behalf of staff.
•Assists in the coordination of end user reported issues with contracted vendors or designated contacts.
•Works in collaboration with IT to identify and implement resolutions. Engages successfully in a wide scope of interactions including work orders, equipment requests and obtaining system access to complete requests.
System Administration (25%)
•Conducts system administration for assigned software. Manages requests for system changes, testing and implementation while ensuring that business practices are maintained.
•Processes requests for appropriate system access and clearance for Department, County, and State computer systems.
•Ensures compliance with established protocols, regulations, and requirements.
•Ensures system integrity through regular oversight, tracking and documentation.
•Maintains standard profiles of required access for Department positions. Performs routine audits of system access and clearance.
Equipment & Inventory Controls (25%)
•Supports the tracking of computer equipment and other inventory, including cell phones, laptops, mice, and keyboards that are used by department staff or stored.
•Assists in the recommendation and acquisition of any special equipment to promote staff comfort.
•Assures that equipment is retained and reallocated upon personnel transitions.
•Receives office supply requests from department divisions and submits orders to vendors using a purchase order process.
•Ensures that any acquisition requests are processed in a timely manner according to department guidelines and procedures and that they are documented according to Fiscal Office requirements into appropriate data management systems.
•Assists with furniture alteration or purchasing for the Department.
•Receives, tracks, and submits requests for building or grounds maintenance on behalf of the Department.
Publications (15%)
•Publishes content to County websites, to educate community individuals and partners on Human Services programs and to positively promote Weld County Human Services.
•Ensures that Department information is accurate, up to date and accessible on the websites by working with divisions in updating information or assisting in the development of new content.
•Performs as administrator in the purchase of County approved images for any internally developed content.
•Assists in the development and maintenance of internal or external forms using products such as Adobe PDF, Microsoft Forms, or the County web vendor, and ensuring that publications are meeting minimum requirements for accessibility to people with disabilities.
Other Duties as Assigned (10%):
•Follow policies and procedures, the Weld County Code of Conduct and adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and appropriate release of information outlined in both.

Qualifications

Required Qualification
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
•Two years' full-time professional work experience in an office or business environment.
•Experience using various forms of technology and software in a business environment.
•Candidate must possess knowledge in setting up computer equipment.
•Candidate must possess intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
•Candidate must possess ability to keyboard at 35 words per minute.
•Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
•Candidate must have a valid Colorado Driver's License and Liability Insurance.
•Candidate must provide own transportation and be willing to travel throughout Weld County.
•Candidate must pass Human Services Background Checks.
•Candidate must possess the ability to enter data into several different computer programs.
•Candidate must possess the ability to learn and apply new computer skills on a regular basis.
•Candidate must possess knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Windows and Word, Excel, and Outlook.
•Candidate must possess the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and department policies and procedures.
•Candidate must possess the ability to write correspondence.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Primary work location will be in the Greeley Office, but employee may perform work at any other Weld County locations as necessary.
•Reliable, predictable attendance within department business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
•This position is in-person with a possibility for limited telework opportunities when needed.

Medical/Dental/Vision Plans
Weld County offers two medical plans through Aetna. Employees who enroll in one of the health plans must enroll in dental and vision. There are two vision plans and three dental plans to choose from. Dependents may also be enrolled. Questions regarding eligibility and premiums should be directed to Human Resources.
Life Insurance
Weld County offers employees a Basic Term Life Insurance policy in the amount of 3 times their annual salary. Eligible employees must regularly work at least 20 hours per week. The plan is provided at no cost to the employee. Employees also have the option to enroll in supplemental term policies for themselves and their dependents. Rates for those supplemental plans are based on age.
Long Term Disability Insurance
Weld County pays the premium for Long Term Disability Insurance for any regular employee that works at least 20 hours per week. The policy provides a monthly benefit of 60% of monthly base salary (maximum benefit of $8,000/month) after a 6 month waiting period.
Short Term Disability Insurance
Weld County offers a Short Term Disability plan through Cigna to any regular employee that works at least 20 hours per week. The premium is paid 100% by Weld County and the plan pays a monthly benefit of 60% of monthly base salary after the employee has been off work for 30 days and exhausted all of their own sick and vacation time.
Paid Leave
Weld County offers paid vacation, sick leave and holidays. Specific information regarding these benefits can be obtained from Human Resources.
Retirement
All full time regular employees at Weld County (except Health Department employees) participate in a mandatory defined benefit retirement plan. The employees contribute 9% of their base salary on a before tax basis to the fund. Weld County matches that amount starting with the employee's first paycheck. Weld County employees also pay Social Security/Medicare (7.65%). In addition to the mandatory plan, employees have two optional deferred compensation plans to choose from. The 401K and the 457 plans are administered by Principal Financial.
Employees at the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment do not participate in the Weld County Retirement plan. Instead they contribute 9.0% to the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA) and only contribute to Medicare (1.45%). Health Department employees also have the option to contribute to a PERA 401K plan.
Section 125 and Flexible Spending Accounts
The Section 125 program allows employees to pay the premiums for the county's medical, dental and vision plans with pre-tax dollars. Flexible Spending Accounts are also available for unreimbursed medical expenses and day care expenses.

Voluntary Benefits
Employees at Weld County have the following Voluntary Benefit plans available to them through AFLAC. Aflac offers an Accident plan, Critical Illness plan and a Hospital Indemnity plan.
Recreation Center Discounts
As part of the Weld County Wellness Program, employees are given discounts at the Greeley Recreation Center, the Family Fun Plex, Johnstown Family YMCA and the Ft. Lupton Recreation Center. Active and Fit Memberships also available.
Tuition Assistance
Regular employees who work at least 20 hours per week and have been employed with Weld for 6 months may be eligible to receive tuition assistance for qualified college courses.
Benefits effective date is the first of the month after you have worked one full pay period.
