The Equipment Manager manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage the procurement, installation, and commissioning of dredging equipment for capital and maintenance dredging projects
- Develop and implement project plans and schedules
- Oversee the work of contractors and suppliers
- Monitor and report on project progress and budget
- Tracks the records, licenses, inspections, warranties and service agreements for dredging equipment and tools
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Identify and evaluate new dredging technologies
- Recommend dredging equipment for specific projects
- Conduct training on dredging equipment operation and maintenance
- Identify Safety hazards and implement engineered solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field
- 5 years of experience in dredging equipment project management
- Strong knowledge of dredging equipment and operations
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
