Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days onsite per week in Irvine, CA)

Overview :

As a senior member of the Finance team at Weedmaps, you will lead the FP&A function of a company that is strategically positioned as a leading technology platform within the emerging Cannabis industry. As the Senior Director of FP&A reporting to the CFO, you'll set the financial direction for the enterprise and own the budgeting and forecasting process. You'll lead the company's long-range planning, annual budgeting, in-year forecasting and performance management metrics in addition to partnering with the business on financial analyses. You'll help lead the FP&A team to inform and empower our senior leaders to make the best possible decisions to capitalize on our growth opportunity. The impact you'll make:
  • Think strategically and help set the financial direction for the company
  • Lead the long-range planning and annual operating planning / budgeting processes
  • Drive performance management decisions and preparation of financial forecasts
  • Prepare financial performance reviews for the executive team and the Board
  • Work closely with Accounting to evolve and enhance our management reporting
  • Drive planning process alignment across other Finance and Business Operations teams
  • Partner with leaders across the business in cross-functional projects and ad-hoc
    financial analyses to ideate, develop and operationalize strategies and initiatives
  • Hire, build and develop a team from the ground up as we continue to grow and expand
What you've accomplished:
  • 10 years of experience at top-tier companies in planning / strategic finance, accounting,
    management consulting, investment banking and / or private equity
  • Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise-wide planning processes and budgeting
    as well as in-year forecasting and performance management
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong financial modeling / analytical skills and experience with planning / reporting
    systems are a must
  • Ability to independently drive projects; motivated to learn all aspects of our business
  • Fully embraces working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to be a thought-partner with senior leaders
  • Great communication skills, well organized, strong project management skills, ability to
    multitask and be a team player
  • Experience scaling a team as well as managing and directing the work of junior team
    members
  • Bachelor's degree required
Bonus Points:
  • Experience scaling a team and/or experience at a top tier bank or consulting firm with
    track record of outperformance
  • Ability to be a thought-partner with senior leaders and push back as appropriate
The base pay range for this position is $210,000.00 to $229,000.00 per year
