The Manufacturing Engineer will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Weatherford provides training, excellent benefits and fantastic career progression. Design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. Technical liaison with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain (internal and external). Develop and facilitate the introduction of new cost-effective processes, equipment and methods. Coordinate the orderly transition and installation of new processes and/or methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, standards and specifications.Evaluate cost reductions, improvements and value analysis for engineering and manufacturing applications.Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.Operate Computer-Assisted Engineering and design software and equipment to perform Engineering tasks.Improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency. Implement lean processes to improve production throughput.Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to manufacturing processes and Engineering projects.Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products.Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.Work with outside suppliers to resolve problems with material and/or equipment.Investigate NCR’s and ECN’s. Write procedures and reports.Support maintenance in equipment improvements and repairs.Directly responsible for employee safety and adhering WFT safe practices proceduresQualificationsQualifications:Engineering degree3 - 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.Excellent team leadership skills, be a self-starter, innovative and able to work with little or no supervisionPC skills including CAD software, Microsoft office suite, database and MRP software (JDE experience preferred).Ability to implement SPC Preferred Experience:Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.Manufacturing Engineering experience
