Wayside Recovery Center is Hiring a Mental Health Therapist Near St. Paul, MN

Wayside has three programs to help women break the cycle of addiction and trauma.

Wayside Women's Treatment Center provides residential substance use disorder and mental health treatment services for women who face the greatest challenges of achieving long-term sobriety. Residential treatment includes addressing substance use and mental health disorders and wraparound services including housing, health, employment, and parenting.

Wayside Family Treatment Center maintains the family unit by welcoming women who are pregnant and mothers with children into treatment to prevent separation. We receive services for addiction, parenting, understanding how their alcohol or substance use contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences, and improving their relationship skills to ultimately break the generational transmission of risk.

Wayside Wellness Outpatient Center provides outpatient, intensive outpatient, and preventative care of women. Our programming meets the needs of women at any stage of their journey.

What you will do:

  • Complete assessments and diagnostic assessments for adults and children.
  • Provide therapeutic services to individuals referred through Wayside’s Intake department
  • Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy as assigned.
  • Provide mental health and clinical consultation to SUD teams as needed.
  • Develop and carry out procedures for providing family and outpatient child mental health services to Wayside Clients across all Wayside programs.
  • Become credentialed with all major health insurance agencies and assist other employees with credentialing.
  • Coordinate with Intake and Billing teams to ensure proper service delivery and payment for therapy services
  • Help with referrals to outside sources for additional mental health assessments and resources.

Compensation: $58,000-64,000 per year.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, day-time hours. Hybrid work schedule.

Sound like a good fit? A few requirements include:

  • Master’s degree with licensure (LMFT, LICSW, LPC/LPCC).
  • Free supervision provided to those who have a Master's degree working towards licensure (LMFT, LPC/LPCC).
  • Competence to provide trauma informed care, substance use treatment, diagnostic assessments, and family programming.
  • Ability to provide a minimum of 22 billable hours which allows for a work/life balance
  • Must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a Minnesota DHS background study
  • Free of problematic substance-use for at least 2 years proceeding employment.
  • Reliable transportation due to frequent travel between sites.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Priority given to candidates with experience supporting Black or African American families.
  • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
  • Experience in DBT, motivational interviewing, and family work is highly valued.
