Role Overview As a Web 3D Development Engineer at Flexcompute Inc., you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of 3D visualization/geometry editor for our simulation software applications. conduct reasonable architectural design, and optimize product performance and experience.
As a key force in our team, you will play a central role in advancing the application of cutting-edge 3D technology. You will work closely with our R&D team to implement new features, improve user experience, and ensure the highest quality standards are met. Your work will contribute to the continued growth and success of Flexcompute Inc. as a leader in solver technology.
Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive 3D visualization tools for our simulation software applications
• Collaborate with R&D team to implement new features and optimize performance
• Create and maintain front-end frameworks for efficient and scalable development
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility and responsiveness of 3D visualizations
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces
• Conduct code reviews and participate in quality assurance activities
• Stay up-to-date with web development trends and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Skilled in 3D and 2D computer graphics rendering, experienced in using shaders in different parts of the pipeline
• Proficient in Canvas-related visualization technology, skilled in using and customizing ThreeJs/WebGL API
• Familiar with optimizing rendering effects, improving model loading and display performance
• Familiar with the theoretical foundations of 3D graphics and images, such as UV, shaders, materials, etc
• 5 years of work experience, 3 years in graphics development; exceptional candidates can be considered with relaxed criteria. Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and user-centered design
• Strong foundation in frontend technologies, including HTML/CSS/JavaScript and common frontend frameworks
• Solid foundation in computer science and networking
• Good team collaboration and communication skills, adept at analyzing and solving problems with design solutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Priority for those with experience in self-developed visualization engines
• Extensive experience with Angular or React
• Strong capability in business abstraction and architectural design, able to produce corresponding architectural designs based on business output
• Experience with personal open-source projects, maintenance of open-source projects, personal tech blogs, etc
• Heavy user of Typescript
