Provides indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting. Greets and registers patients. Verifies patient demographic and insurance information. Performs Medical Necessity checking on procedures/tests/ordered for patients. Performs clerical duties. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, office/clinic staff and the medical staff. Operates Hospital switchboard, answering and directing incoming calls, and paging or beeping individuals as needed. Participates in performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
Shift: Monday-Friday Day shift, 7AM-3:30PM or 8AM-4:30PM. Based on the needs of the hospital, this person could be pulled to other shifts or days of the week, including weekends or holidays for coverage.
