Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid state issued driver's license and acceptable driving record (State of Colorado required within 90 days of hire)
• Current National Registry Paramedic - OR - State of Colorado Paramedic Certification (State of Colorado cert required before start of work)
• Current Health Care Provider CPR, ACLS and PALS certs
• Passing score on the National Testing Network (NTN) FireTeam test - OR - the Colorado FIREFighter Testing Consortium test
• CPAT and Fire Certs not required to apply

All certifications must be provided at the time of application.

New hires will attend Fire Academy which will be a 40-hour per week schedule for approximately 18 weeks. After academy, employees will be assigned to a 48/96 schedule, which allows flexibility in choosing where to live and plenty of time to take advantage of all that Colorado has to offer!

Firefighting is physically demanding. In order to pass academy and successfully perform the duties of the position, candidates and firefighters must maintain a high level of physical fitness. Candidates will be tested during the hiring process, periodically during academy and annually once hired.
Position Summary

As a Firefighter Paramedic you perform firefighting and emergency medical services at the Paramedic level in accordance with the District's rules, policies, procedures, and pre-hospital medical protocols, including but not limited to, the Member Handbook and SOGs.
