Food Services Cafeteria Worker (5.5 Hours)

Description of Duties:

• Performs a variety of duties related to the school food service program, to maintain food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Participates in the cooking and preparation of a wide variety of food items including main dishes, baked goods, sandwiches and salads.
• Set up serving areas and steam tables; serve food to students and faculty.
• Count milk and other food items as assigned.
• Adhere to safe and sanitary working practices and procedures. Must be “ServSafe” certified.
• Collect money and make change. Use a cash register effectively.
• Operate a variety of standard kitchen equipment including but not limited to oven, slicer, mixer, steam table, warmer, fryolator and steamer.
• Assure food items and supplies are stored properly.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be able to read and understand how to follow a recipe.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the work shift.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs.
• Communicate both written and verbally with students and adults effectively.
• Eligible to participate in professional development classes when offered.

Salary: As per the Food Services contract.
