**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving and be comfortable operating a forklift. This role involves materials handling, order picking, and utilizing equipment such as forklifts. This is a part time role with the opportunity to become a full time role based on performance and company need.

**Responsibilities:**

- Pulls warehouse items by the stated number, size, color, quantity, quality, etc.

- Compares and inspects physical items pulled to the requirements of the pick request.

- Packs/wraps orders as required by item/delivery type and prepares for shipment.

- Transports orders to shipping locations/bins/docks using the proper material handling equipment.

- Ensures that orders are staged correctly for each delivery.

- Operates any material handling equipment following established safety guidelines.

- Receives shipments (container loads, truckloads, etc.) and inventories incoming products accordingly.

- Ensures all paperwork related to shipping / receiving is accurate.

- Communicates delivery information to customers (e.g. tracking numbers and estimated arrival dates).

- Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse.

- Participates in conducting warehouse inventory counts on a regular basis.

- Notifies the Operations Manager when stock is low on all inventoried items.

- Makes product samples.

- Acts as an ambassador for ROMEX being polite and pleasant in all customer interactions.

- Follows safety regulations.

- Operates the forklift.

- Moves and lifts up to 60 pounds of product as needed.

- Performs other duties as required.

Completes assigned action items on time.

**Experience:**

- 1 year experience working in a warehouse setting.

- Experience working in a distribution business.

- Ability to operate a forklift.

- Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management software.

- Follow safe work practices and procedures.

- Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

- Basic computer and math skills.

- Ability to consistently lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds, move in a full range of motion and stand for long periods of time.

- Ability to handle detail-oriented work to ensure proper items and quantities are picked and packed to arrive at customers in good condition.

- General fluency in English required, verbal and written.

- Valid Driver’s License.

**Education:**

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
