This position is responsible for providing treatment to patients in the facilities that we serve by working with the DDS, clinical coordinator, and staff at the facility. Dental Hygienists complete on-site hygiene services, as well as work with their clinical support managers and staff at nursing homes to ensure that the facility's needs are being met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Review Patient lists before the visit and make sure that all supplies/equipment are available at every stop.
• Arrive on time and check in with dental contact and review the list of patients to be seen.
• Transport, set up, and take down equipment and supplies in the room designated as workspace by the facility.
• Work with contacts at nursing homes to coordinate the transfer of patients and their charts to and from the treatment room. If issues with the transport of patients/charts and all options have been exhausted, call the clinical support manager for assistance.

• Explain procedures as they are completed to the patient. Follow up with staff at the facility to review recommendations for patients.

• Enter chart notes for treatment provided into Salesforce at the time of treatment.

• Ensure OHSA safety and cleanliness regulations are followed during patient treatment.

• Ensure disposables are handled correctly before leaving facilities.

• Check out with dental contact at the facility. Review chart notes/referrals and leave printed copies with facilities for patient charts.

• Work with the clinical coordinator on schedule and follow-up of patient care and treatment.

• Maintain dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance routines.

• Inventory supplies and order as needed.

• Follow regulated OHSA guidelines in handling and sterilization of instruments.

• Utilize personal vehicle for equipment/supply transport and traveling to scheduled facility visits (will be reimbursed business mileage after commute adjustment).

• Be available via cell phone during the working day.

• Willing and able to expense out purchases for office needs, unforeseen supply purchases, and other business-related expenses.

Other Qualifications

• Customer Service Skills- must be able to work with staff at nursing homes to ensure that their dental needs are being met.
• Computer Skills - must be able to log chart notes at the time of visit.
