**Duties**

** Summary**

This position is located in the U.S. Mint, Manufacturing Department, Denver, Budget & Accounting Division. The Denver Mint is responsible for manufacturing coin dies; storing silver bullion; and minting coins, including circulating coins, numismatic products and annual uncirculated coin sets, and commemorative coins as authorized by Congress.

**Responsibilities**

As a/an Inventory Management Specialist, you will:

Monitor and analyze usage transactions and trends to mitigate possible material shortages; track the timing of reorder actions; prepare systems entries; and oversee all coining material related activity to ensure that inventories are accurately reported and maintained.

Establish material replenishment needs and initiates action to ensure timely contract modifications and the delivery of material in-time to meet production requirements to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Utilize inventory tracking systems and control records to respond to user inquiries regarding material availability

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-9, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience or General experience for this position includes:

**- Utilization of an asset tracking system; AND

- Performing physical inventories for an organization; AND

- Documentary control of the receipt and or issuance of stock property items) in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures.

OR

You may qualify with a masters or equivalent graduate degree.

OR

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a masters degree.

OR

LL.B. or J.D., if related.

OR

A combination of the education and experience. For example: the completion of 50% requirements for J.D. and 6 months of specialized experience.**

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following **time-in-grade requirement**, if applicable:

For the GS-9 you must have been at the GS-7level for 52 weeks.
