The Associate Marketing Manager will report to the Retail Merchandising Manager and is responsible for executing the overall retail merchandising strategy across the dealer network.
This individual will own the development, process definition & execution of merchandising strategies, plans and tactics to secure and maintain Polaris showroom space. They will work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Parts, Garments & Accessories (PG&A), Legal, Channel Marketing, Dealer Development, Channel Development and outside vendors.
This is a highly collaborative and fast-paced role. Excellent communication skills are critical to success. The ideal candidate will be curious, have a flexible approach, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have a strong bias for action and results. The role requires entrepreneurial thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Own all processes, tracking, and communications related to the rollout of the Polaris Retail Experience across the dealer network.
- Develop tools and training for both dealers and the field sales team to optimize sell-in and in-store execution.
- Create research strategy to test new concepts & gather insights from dealers as an input to developing future merchandising strategies.
- Develop core processes for merchandising strategy execution and manage projects with adherence to timelines & budget. Effectively communicate project details & updates to leadership.
- Build communication plans on key initiatives to drive engagement & results with the field sales team and dealer network
- Manage compliance tracking & governance
- Manage relationship with external vendors.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS - University/Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5 years of sales, marketing, retail merchandising, or comparable experience.
- Topline understanding of how the POG and space management process works.
- Excellent project management skills required, including meeting timelines, aligning key stake-holders and identifying potential issues.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and translate to variety of stakeholders
- Proficient communicator with strong presentation and consultative skills.
- Experience working with vendors and agencies successfully.
- Ability to work in very fast-paced environment with capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to be nimble and adapt departmental priorities to address any challenges that arise.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
WORKING CONDITIONS - Ongoing business travel (10-20% in a normal business environment)
- Corporate office in Plymouth, MN. Travel to other MN based locations required occasionally (Medina, MN & Wyoming MN) Hybrid Corporate working environment.
