We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner for our site in Charleston, TN.
What you will do:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing maintenance plans and schedules for predictive, preventive, routine, scheduled and emergency maintenance services to production, utility operations and infrastructure systems as necessary to provide for safe operations, regulatory compliance and equipment availability related to equipment and systems plant wide. This position is also responsible for assisting with the development of reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventative and predictive maintenance and will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build and maintain a reliable CMMS system and maintenance team. The Planner will work independently and with other plant personnel such as plant engineering and operations representatives to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. The Planner is responsible for ordering spare parts and scheduling corrective maintenance in conjunction with production requirements.
  • The Planner position requires hands on maintenance experience and will be utilized when needed.
  • The Planner acts as the coordinator for planned activities and is one of the principal contacts between the maintenance, engineering, and operations departments. They help ensure the area, department, or facility in which they are assigned receives professional maintenance service in a timely manner.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance services in order to maintain safe operating conditions of production units, utility, and infrastructure systems.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance services in order to maintain regulatory compliance of production units, utility and infrastructure systems.
  • Assist in the development of the maintenance group/organization and related guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Train Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians on the planning and scheduling system used at WPNA.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities in order to maintain PM and PdM program.
  • Evaluate and schedule maintenance work utilizing CMMS software.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities for 3rd party maintenance service providers
  • Support "best practices" between production areas
  • Partner with Tool Crib attendant to maintain parts/tools/materials inventories as required
  • Maintain gas inventory as required by Maintenance to support facility operations.
  • Support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, and cost.
  • Compile and provide reports related to area of responsibility.
  • Work in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams
  • Represent WACKER'S interests towards authorities, suppliers, and contractors
  • Compile and provide reports related to area of responsibility.
  • Perform document required maintenance using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively in an efficient and organized manner.
  • Support development of specifications, standards, and codes
  • Cooperate with groups and individuals within the engineering and maintenance department, operations, and other service units with focus on achieving optimal results/solutions from a corporate/enterprise perspective.
  • Perform all tasks and assignments in accordance to WACKER'S policies and procedures
  • Ensure all safety and environmental related maintenance and technical controls are done in a timely manner and all P&ID are kept up date.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
  • Associate degree, Journeymen (or higher level education) in the field of mechanical / electrical engineering and/or industrial mechanical /electrical / EI&C maintenance Planning
  • 10 years combined professional experience in the field of mechanical / electrical engineering and/or industrial mechanical /electrical / EI&C maintenance Planning Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (E&IC) experience is a plus.
  • CMMS experience (SAP) a plus
  • Ability to complete all tasks while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.
  • Ability to walk down, estimate job requirements, and enter into schedule for technical completion.
  • Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost pressure.
  • Capability to professionally deal with changing priorities and requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles and Maintenance practices
  • Thorough technical knowledge in the field of industrial maintenance, including relevant regulations, standards, and codes.
  • Ability to read and understand complex diagrams.
  • Leadership skills combined with team player attitude
  • Objective judgment and fact-based decision making approach
  • Strong multi-tasking competency
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles and maintenance practices
  • Ability to read and understand complex piping diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to meet the essential functions of the job.
  • Willing to work weekends and rotating shifts if needed.
  • Ability and willingness for domestic and international travel
