W. Atlee Burpee Company is Hiring a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) Near Warminster, PA
Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for performing analysis of all aspects of company results. The position will have a focus on providing analysis and developing performance metrics for the company's supply chain processes and results. Transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports to support the company's goals. The position will support the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, and communicate financial information to management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops a deep understanding of existing performance and develop metrics and measures to gauge company performance.
- Provides analysis and evaluation of cost/expense and profit improvement opportunities existing throughout all business activities.
- Perform financial analyses and make recommendations to support strategic decision-making as needed, developing financial/operational reports and models to support recommendations.
- Strong data management and analytical skills including the ability to integrate and analyze data from various sources in order to draw relevant conclusions.
- Proactively analyze large dataset with a focus on identifying cost and productivity improvements.
- Create and maintain interactive reports and KPIs through data interpretation and analysis.
- Develops and maintains financial models and financial forecasts for management.
- Assists in the development of strategic plans for existing, new, or proposed business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Self-starting, proactive individual who is comfortable working independently and in teams.
- Effective verbal and written communications, including active listening and presenting findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis or related field
- Experience with budgeting and financial planning
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- ERP experience, ability to extract data from ERP systems
- Database/Warehouse knowledge, experience utilizing a database reporting tool such as Power BI
