Position Summary: Ensures & oversees the day to day operations of the clinical staff & clinical programming. Responsible for providing direct supervision to employees assigned to the clinical department. Reports to the Director of Operations and works directly with the Nursing Supervisor and Program Supervisor to ensure effective & safe therapeutic practices are being provided at all times. Ensures clinical compliance with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines and expectations. Directly supervises the clinical staff, including therapists. Works collaboratively with the Director of Medical Records in oversight of Medical Records. Ensures compliance and completion of all documentation requirements for the Facility are maintained and current. Leads treatment team and clinical staffing on patients to ensure all disciplines are providing clinically pertinent, individualized care to patients. Ensures that clinical staff are providing quality therapeutic interventions, follow-up with referral sources, after care and discharge planning, and that clinical staff are in compliance with all facility policies and procedures. Works collaboratively with other facility management and physicians or personnel to promote optimal customer service to patients and their families at all times. Provides indirect guidance to direct care staff regarding clinical programming and treatment expectations. Carries a caseload one-half to three quarters of that of full-time therapist’s dependent on facility need. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in clinical or social service related field. .
Experience: A minimum of two (1) year experience in a health care or social service industry preferred; prior supervisory experience necessary.
Licensure/Certification: Professional clinical license issued by the appropriate licensing body in Oklahoma;
Other: Supervisory skills; advanced clinical knowledge of best practices in the treatment of children/adolescents with severe emotional disturbances or psychiatric illnesses & their families; basic fiscal management skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; creativity; flexibility; time management and organizational skills; skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application, and evaluation; strategic planning skills; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; teaching or training skills helpful; willingness to travel, including overnight travel, in work capacity. Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
