CareSTL Health is Hiring a Dentist Near Saint Louis, MO

CARESTLHEALTH is seeking a Full-time Dentist. The Dentist may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • After a thorough evaluation of health history, x-rays, and oral examination/cancer screen/periodontal evaluation discuss with the patients the findings of the dental examination and the treatment that can be taken care of in our health center
  • Create a treatment plan and complete treatment in a timely manner; referring out any services the health center can't render
  • Render treatment to our pediatric and pregnant population in the window of insurance coverage
  • Give chronic disease patients referrals to PCP for medical clearance for treatment; record and track
  • Practice to the full extent of your license including extractions(simple and some surgical), restorative (amalgams and composites), root canals (anterior and premolars), crowns, bridges, partials, and dentures

Education:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Dentistry and
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Missouri
  • Must have current CPR /CE certificates

Experience:

  • Some experience in a community health center is desirable but not mandatory

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Maintain a professional attitude towards patients in and out of the Health Center
  • Good oral and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational and self-motivational skills
  • Must be willing to practice to the full extent of your license
  • Must be willing to participate in community health fairs sponsored by MHD
  • Must be willing to work with the pediatric population. Must be willing to work extended hours and some Saturdays periodically
  • Must be able to be credentialed by insurance plans

Additional Information:

  • Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 11 paid holidays per year.
