Job Description Role Summary: The Content Creator/Copywriter is responsible for researching, preparing, writing, and editing online content for external marketing, front-end web content, as well as internal-facing employee communications and training documents. The responsibilities of this position include applying a journalistic writing style for blog posts, sourcing, writing, and editing articles for executive team interviews, website and sales collateral, video scripts, as well as experience writing content for training documents. Experience sourcing keywords and terms to support SEO and the customer journey preferred. The Content Writer/Copywriter must also adhere to SEO best practices. Role Priorities / Responsibilities:
Sourcing content goals and strategies and pitching ideas to the Marketing VP and team.
Interviewing members of the Stallion Executive and Sales team to source content for external articles and customer content, as well as internal publications.
Collaborating with other departments and team members to brainstorm subjects for internal newsletter.
Interviewing customer of Stallion to generate content for external articles, white papers and business cases for use in all media channels.
Creating unique, simple-to-understand, and user-friendly content using good SEO techniques.
Writing articles, press releases, white papers, business cases, new web content and editing existing content.
Editing and proofreading new content before publication.
Managing the distribution of content through our various channels, including social media.
Analyzing performance indicators and web traffic and determining the effectiveness of created content.
Critical Success Factors: The ideal candidate must have great communication, research, and teamwork skills. Ultimately, you are adept at filtering information down to fit the audience and format presented. Also, a good working knowledge of content management software as well as a basic knowledge of HTML and an eye for detail are critical success factors for this role. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical writing proficiency - specifically, development of internal-facing training documents to support software and program onboarding is required.
Strong working knowledge of content management software, including WordPress, HubSpot
Exceptional knowledge of SEO Principles.
Expert proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 applications beyond Word and PowerPoint such as Sway, Stream, Teams and Forms is an advantage.
Understanding the customer journey and sales enablement best practices is an advantage.
Ability to work in teams as well as independently as and when required.
Phenomenal research skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and set priorities using good time management skills.
Outstanding problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail, multitasking, and analytical skills
Ability to create opportunities with minimal supervision
Ability to write long format such as copy, articles and blog posts
Ability to write short format such as 1-2-minute video scripts and social media posts
Education, Experience or Certification Required (if applicable):
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field.
3- 5 years' experience in copywriting, content strategy, or a related field.
Experience in video production is a plus
Position Qualifications:
Initially needed for upcoming project where technical writing skills are required
