Founded in 1978 by Tom Hayes, VIP has a rich legacy of excellence in portrait photography. Today, Tom's daughter Courtney continues the tradition as the owner of VIP. Our company culture is built on teamwork, fun, and constant growth. We prioritize teaching new photographers the art of creating beautiful portraits while supporting our existing staff in their professional development.
A Day in the life of a Photographer
As a VIP photographer, every day will bring new and exciting challenges. You'll travel around the Milwaukee or Chicago regions, ensuring you arrive promptly at each photo assignment. Travel times may vary, ranging from 30 to 90 minutes, but rest assured, you'll be compensated for drive time and mileage.
In addition to school portraits, you'll represent VIP at various schools, youth leagues, and other accounts. Your friendly and efficient approach will transform picture day into an enjoyable experience for faculty, administrators, parents, students, and athletes. You'll be the face of VIP, trusted to capture and preserve the most important moments in their lives.
No need to worry about working alone, as there will always be a lead photographer to guide you. We encourage returning photographers to enhance their skills and knowledge to progress into leadership roles. Whether you're photographing indoors for school portraits or capturing outdoor shots for sports teams and individuals, each assignment will be a unique opportunity to showcase your talent.
Work Schedule
Our work schedule is flexible to accommodate your needs. This seasonal part-time position runs from July to mid-December, with the possibility of overtime hours during peak times. Although our office operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, your photo assignments will vary, including early mornings, school hours, evenings, and weekends. You can expect to work approximately 10 Saturdays per year and occasional Sundays.
