What’s Special About this Role
Visit Seattle is now hiring a Seattle-based Membership Development Manager to join our team of dedicated, service-oriented professionals. This position is responsible for strategically engaging tourism hospitality businesses to help champion the region as a world-class destination for travel and tourism. This position will recruit new members, is service-oriented, and effectively builds strong community relationships to increase membership value, retention, while maximizing revenue for Visit Seattle.
*Candidates must be able to work at our office in Seattle. This position does not offer relocation assistance.
What You'll Do
• Recruit and retain new businesses through personal sales calls, networking and handling online inquiries
• Build and foster relationships with dedicated account portfolio, providing excellent customer service and regular check-ins
• Identify and sell available additional marketing inventory and develop new marketing solutions for members when applicable
• Act as Visit Seattle expert, sharing relevant industry updates to member stakeholders and provide introductions to Visit Seattle team
• Manage and maintain updated accounts and listing information for dedicated account portfolio through regular communication
• Assist with sponsorship outreach for annual signature events in collaboration with Membership Team.
• Conduct training sessions for new and existing partners on use of Member Extranet as required.
• Provide customized membership reports and analytics as required.
• Perform other related duties and assignments, as required.

Who You Are
Ideal Membership Development Manager qualifications:
• Relevant professional experience required in Account Management, Customer Success, or Sponsorship sales.
• Experience with basic database software, data entry, CRM systems (Simpleview, MailChimp experience a plus).
• Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities while working accurately with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well with a diverse range of people.
• Strong service approach with both internal and external customers.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language, English, used in the workplace.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
