We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about electrical engineering, automation, and control systems design. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. The successful candidate should be well-versed in complex automated systems, be able to oversee the manufacturing process, and ensure the machinery is functioning at optimal capacity.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, or systems for industrial use employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties.
2. Design and develop electronic components, equipment, and systems, applying knowledge and principles of electrical engineering.
3. Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
4. Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
5. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
6. Program and implement PLC-based control systems (Rockwell, Allen Bradley).
7. Develop and maintain HMI screens.
8. Ensure that installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards.
9. Collaborate with engineers or other personnel to identify, define, or solve developmental problems.
10. Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.
11. Design control systems to minimize and resolve production issues and project inefficiencies.
12. Provide technical support to the team and troubleshoot control system issues.
13. Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of the company.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Design, or a related field.
3. Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI, Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Automation, SCADA, Electrical Design, AutoCAD.
4. Solid understanding of electrical industrial safety standards.
5. Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
7. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
9. Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving abilities.
10. Ability to work in a team environment and effectively interact with a wide range of personnel from production operators to management.
