Job Description
WGMA is looking for a fast-learning Accounting Specialist to act as a liaison between our VP of Accounting and Administration and Payroll Director. The Accounting Specialist will handle a wide range of duties to help the department continue to operate at a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily financial transactions including but not limited to accounts payable, banking, general ledger and other accounting transactions.
- Bank Reconciliations
- Payroll
- Financial Reports
- Audit Support
- Quarterly Tax Filings, W-2, Fringe Benefits
- Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned to provide support to the daily operation and day to day needs of the team
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 3 years of Experience
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
- Must be able to multitask and handle a fast-paced working environment
- Must be organized and be able to prioritize projects
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability and organization.
Preferences
- Payroll experience helpful
- Microsoft Dynamics GP experience extremely helpful
- Accounting Certifications a plus
