Skills Needed for This Position:

• Standing/Walking for up to 8 hours at a time
• Customer service skills and basic computer skills
• Understanding how to properly operate a metal detection device.
• Being able to give clear and concise directions
• Being able to handle and defuse confrontation in a professional manner.
• If applying for a Rover, able to operate a motor vehicle safely.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. Your primary role will be to monitor surveillance equipment, patrol designated areas, and enforce security protocols. The ideal candidate will have excellent surveillance skills, knowledge of CPR and first aid, and experience with CCTV systems.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor surveillance equipment and report any suspicious activities or incidents
- Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure the security of the premises
- Enforce security protocols and respond to emergencies as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and investigations
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage
- Utilize conflict management techniques to deescalate tense situations

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid security officer license/certificate
- Proven experience in a security-related role preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Basic understanding of first aid and CPR techniques
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Prior military or law enforcement experience is a plus

Pay ranges from $17-$20 based on position.
