Overview

We are looking for a motivated Refrigeration Technician to join our brand new state-of-the-art freeze drying facility in Allentown, PA! In this role the Refrigeration Technician's primary responsibility is to maintain refrigeration equipment along with performing maintenance activities to enable production.. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, communication, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities: 

• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Analyze conditions and troubleshoot failures
• Repair and perform preventive/predictive maintenance on all industrial refrigeration equipment
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems and building systems as needed
• Ensure all work-orders are complete and accurate
• Complete and maintain accurate records 

Requirements: 

• Must be able to read and understand electrical and refrigeration meters 
• EPA Universal certificate 
• 3 years refrigeration journeyman or commensurate combination of technical education and experience 
• Advanced troubleshooting knowledge on refrigeration systems 
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control logics 

Preferred Skills

• A.A./A.S. technical degree or equivalent
• Food manufacturing experience 
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits (AC/DC, low/high voltage) 
• State accredited refrigeration license 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to work with allergens that might be present in food environment 

● Ability to work in hot/cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
