Applications Engineer - Bend Technology

Location: Hartford, CT

Travel: 25%, no overnights 

Pay Range: $31-38/hr

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Serves as the expert for bending technology and products
• Assist new customers during installation and set-up phase ensuring a smooth transition to production
• Provide on-site and phone support to resolve application problems
• Organize and conduct customer demonstrations
• Travel to customer sites to support with challenging production processes 
• Attend trade shows and demonstrate products
• Provide recommendations for product selection and produce sample parts. 

Experience

• Previous experience in a sheet metal and/or manufacturing environment, ideally in a role that provided experience in programming and operating fabrication equipment.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills are required as this position involves extensive interaction with customers. 
• Experience in drafting/modeling software, along with skills with Microsoft office products, especially Excel, and Power Point. 
• Ability to organize your own schedule and manage multiple projects effectively.

Education

2-year technical school degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience.
