Position Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the engineering efforts of audio, video, VTC, control systems, and peripheral tasks related to or in conjunction with the engineering of such systems including, but not limited to:

  • Designing and/or engineering the details of technical systems conceived either internally with the Company or by an outsideparty;
  • Gathering AV requirements from clients via RFP, site survey, online meeting, or in-person meeting for the development of a proposed AV design;
  • Providing and validating equipment list and specifications as required for pricing and product procurement;
  • Developing detailed technical proposals, including system designs, equipment lists, and cost estimates;
  • Generating Vizio drawings and other documents including proof of concept drawings, preliminary rack elevations, layouts, cable schedules, construction details, and power and heat load;
  • Drafting written specifications, equipment specifications, programming specifications, and other documents as required to convey the details of the system to clients;
  • Preparing and responding to RFI’s to address and clarify the exchange of project information;
  • Providing engineering support to the sales team by assisting with project cost estimating, functional system reviews, design revisions, and related efforts in preparing bid documents;
  • On occasion participate in the commissioning of AV systems onsite and assist in handover and training for the client;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ engineering of audio/video/VTC/control systems;
  • Proficiency in specifying major manufacturers of professional AV equipment including, but not limited to: Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, Logitech, Cisco, Poly, Creston, Extron, Biamp, QSYS, Barco, Planar, Christie Digital, Legrand, etc.;
  • Major manufacturer training and certifications, especially in AV control and DSP programming, are highly desirable;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs;
  • Professional, team-oriented work ethic;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work and correspond with a wide range of individuals ranging from senior executives to construction personnel;
  • Bachelor's degree in math or science-related field preferred; AVIXA certification – CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D highly desirable;
  • Ability to work independently; Excellent punctuality and reliability record, with willingness to work overtime, often on short notice;
  • Ability to occasionally travel to and from various project sites is required.
  • Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required.
