Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations to understand patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
- Personalized Treatment Plans: Develop customized treatment plans using various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
- Effective Interventions: Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and function.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve the best outcomes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on therapy procedures, home exercises, and injury prevention.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain detailed and timely records of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Continued Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy techniques and integrate them into practice.
- Patient Follow-Up: Ensure patient compliance with treatment plans and address any non-compliance issues.
- Team Support: Collaborate effectively with non-clinical staff and delegate tasks appropriately to PTAs.
- Adaptability: Adjust to changing patient schedules and daily patterns seamlessly.
- Ethical Practice: Adhere to ethical and professional standards, complying with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Education: Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Certifications: CPR certification and any other relevant certifications required by state regulations.
- Clinical Skills: Experience in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric physical therapy is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
Physical Requirements:
- Mobility: Ability to move around freely to assist patients and therapists.
