As a part of the OptumCare network, New West Physicians is a premier multi-specialty group in Denver with several locations in the Denver Metro area.

We are currently hiring team leads for our north and south pods in the Denver area. This individual should be Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and be skilled in mentorship/ leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Mentor fellow Hospitalists through 1:1 meetings and formulate improvement action plans as needed with follow up
• Work with leadership on completion of quality bonus for direct reports
• Spot check documentation to ensure quality
• Help create and lead occasional staff meetings
• Collaborate with other leads to create provider schedules
• Work with the Hospitalist administration to solve any issues that may arise
• Act as liaison between the hospitalist group and administration
• Participate in physician recruitment efforts

Required Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O.
• Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active medical license in Colorado or ability to obtain prior to employment
• 2 years of experience working as a Hospitalist

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $288,631 to $385,254 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
