What you’ll be doing

The Guest Experience Associate position is a customer facing role, with daily responsibilities requiring direct customer engagement. Duties include answering customer questions and concerns, assisting guests (primarily young children and their caregivers) with museum activities and experiences, monitoring museum exhibits and routine/detail cleaning, and organizing guest spaces. Some additional duties include daily set up of museum spaces, cash handling, administrative work, support of museum events and handling miscellaneous responsibilities as needed. This position is not stationary and requires regular walking, standing, and bending.

You will be responsible for…

· Monitor and maintain museum gallery activities and materials.

· Cleaning, sanitizing and preparing museum materials.

· Monitor and communicate with visitors ensuring compliance with museum policies and safety protocols.

· Provide museum information to visitors, answering questions and provide directions.

· Setting up & cleaning up.

· Assisting Children with their projects.

· Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

· High school diploma or GED, preferred.

· Must have excellent customer service skills and/or public contact work, 6 months to 1 year.

· Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

· Experience working with school-aged children and large groups is highly desirable.

· Must be able to work.
