Description:

The Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of programmers who use BCC Ignite to process data according to USPS specifications based on customer specific business rules and requirements and generating files for composition. The position is responsible for removing barriers and providing problem solving to mentor and lead their team. They will provide an environment that will continually elevate the team's knowledge base of job setup requirements and adherence to department standards. They are responsible for employee development and guidance to keeping on track to meet annual goals and objectives.

Duties:

• Support accounts or projects by utilizing departmental resources, evaluating individual projects or client needs, as well as prioritizing, tracking, and maintaining records of cost and schedules.
• Work with Project Management/Customer Service Team to receive/review and analyze client specifications and instructions.
• Manage workflows in BCC Ignite and create automations in Ignite for quick turn work.
• Manage special projects in Ignite leveraging RedPoint capabilities to create workflows for any special projects that do not require mail processing.
• Provide a series of quality control protocols to ensure project meets USPS and client specifications and instructions.
• Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes within the mail industry, as well as follow established company and department QC and SOP standards.
• Coordinate with customer service, billing and invoicing departments to ensure accurate cost of additional time and services.
• Provide off hours/weekend support for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• Working in a team environment, coordinating with Project Management/Customer Service, Production and other departments to move jobs efficiently through its lifecycle process, at the highest level of quality and accuracy, and on schedule.
• Coordinate coverage for programmers for key accounts when they are out of the office.
• Conducts employee annual reviews, develops, and oversees employee development plans and has structured one-on-one weekly meetings.

Education, Skills and Experience:
Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of BCC Ignite workflows and automations.
• Extensive knowledge of USPS requirements and specifications for direct mail
• PC Proficiency required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of Variable Data Print (VDP) software such as Quadient Inspire, Page Flex, XMPie, Xtreme Dialogue, Fusion Pro.
• If-then-else relational logic, scripting, and object-oriented programming languages.
• Mathematical and effective communication skills required: ability to calculate numbers/fractions/decimals in all units of measure, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with external and internal clients.

Education Required:

• Information Systems Degree or a similar job-related major. Five plus years of technical data analysis, manipulation and integration experience in the publishing industry, preferred.
• 8-10 years of Direct Mail print related experience.

Experience and Number of Years:

• This would depend on the position but minimally 8 to 10 years of industry related experience in a publishing environment using manipulation of data and images to meet customer requirements. Proven experience leading teams using BCC Ignite or equivalent data processing applications.
