What You Will Do:
The Clinical Dietitian responsibilities will include conducting individual assessments on all enrolled in the Diabetes Management Program. Educate patients and/or families individually and/or in groups regarding diabetes self-management, according to American Diabetics Association national standards for education.
What You Will Bring:
Education
Bachelors of Science degree from accredited school with major in Nutrition/Dietetics or Masters accepted by Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Experience
Recent teaching experience in a patient education program is preferred.
Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required
Registered or Registry eligible within six months CDE preferred and must be completed within 3 years of hire date. Certification by the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators is desirable or a minimum of 24 hours of education that includes education principles and 15 content areas specified by the National Standards of the American Diabetes Association, as well as a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education in diabetes education principles every 2 years.
