Job Description / Essential Elements: DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Coordinates extracurricular activities in a secondary school.
Representative Duties: - Set up student body fee payment system, keep membership records, and distribute student body cards
- Establish eligibility, set up elections, and appoint election commission for class and student elections
- Set up schedule of meetings, arrange for location, act as advisor, supervise or do agenda, check minutes, and schedule committee meeting for Student Council.
- Schedule and assign auditorium seating for all student assemblies
- Coordinate and place orders where necessary for student awards
- Keep calendar of student body activities
- Coordinate class activities with student body calendar and help class advisor where necessary.
- Write bulletin notices as necessary
- Write or have written, assign and train readers for daily newscast.
- Maintain liaison with such community organizations as PTA, Beautification Commission of City Council, Sister City Commission, March of Dimes, and other secondary schools.
- Communicate with counselors and/or parents when appropriate
- May supervise the preparation and maintenance of student body budget.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Must possess a California teaching credential in secondary education.
LICENSE: - Must have valid California Driver's License
