Student Success and Well-Being Center for Higher Education:
The Center for Higher Education Innovation serves the Division of Student Success & Well-Being (SSWB) at the University of Central Florida primarily by providing project management and program evaluation services to SSWB units. The Center's mission is to facilitate collaboration among all campus partners to proactively foster student success and well-being. It fulfills this mission by partnering with student success leaders and researchers at UCF and across the nation to inspire, develop, pilot, evaluate and disseminate student success projects, innovations, and research that improve higher education access, success, and post-completion achievements for all UCF students.
The Opportunity :
The UCF Student Success and Well-Being Center for Higher Education is now accepting applications for an Associate Director, Data and Strategic Initiatives. This role is crucial in advancing the academic and institutional goals of the SSWB Division by overseeing comprehensive research, evaluation, and assessment activities. This position requires a skilled professional with expertise in data analysis, research methodologies, evaluation practices, and assessment strategies. The individual will collaborate with various university stakeholders to enhance decision-making processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of academic programs and services that support student success and well-being.
This position/classification may be moved at the management's discretion within the SSWB division to a commensurate level position as determined by the Sr. Vice President of Student Success and Well Being and his/her designee.
Responsibilities:
Evaluation and Assessment
Develop and implement evaluation plans to provide insights about strategic initiatives and student success activities.
Coordinate the collection and analysis of data to assess program effectiveness.
Support institutional effectiveness and institutional assessment processes for SSWB units.
Research Oversight
Support funded research projects to support SSWB and institutional goals and strategic initiatives.
Conduct literature reviews, analyze data, and produce research reports that contribute to the university's knowledge base.
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with SSWB and university departments, faculty, and staff to identify opportunities to support research, evaluation, assessment, and data-driven insights.
Communicate insights to various stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other channels.
Partner with Institutional Knowledge Management to use institutional data to support student success insights.
Strategic Initiatives
Support implementation and expansion of strategic initiatives by providing research, evaluation, and assessment support.
Provide evaluation insights to support decision making.
Provide a comprehensive plan for evaluation of student success initiatives.
Data
Oversee the collection, maintenance, and integrity of project-specific data.
Provide strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree or higher.
Minimum of 4 years of experience related to research implementation and evaluation.
Experience leading a small data team within a larger project management unit.
Ability to code in STATA, R, or any related statistical software.
