Vaco is actively seeking an AS400 Systems Engineer / RPG Developer for a direct-hire position with our client in Memphis. This is a permanent opportunity to join a highly respected international organization that is a proven leader in their field! IBM Systems Engineer Summary The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AS400 system administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The Systems Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of AS400 infrastructure.Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain AS400 (IBM iSeries) systems and related hardware and software components.
Monitor AS400 system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect AS400 systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate AS400 systems with other enterprise systems and applications.
Design, code, test, and debug RPG or RPGLE programs and modules according to project requirements.
