Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining data pipelines
- Collaborating with data scientists to understand requirements and ensure data is accessible
- Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes
- Optimizing and automating data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks
- Designing and developing modern automated tooling and scripts
- Spearhead the migration of our SQL infrastructure to a more modern AWS cloud
- Assisting in managing and administering our SQL Server instances
- 7 years experience as a Data Engineer, preferably at a startup or mid-size company
- Well-versed with Python & SQL Server
- Strong with ETL processes and data pipeline development
- Knowledge of database systems, data warehousing, and data modeling
- Production experience with Apache Spark, Airflow, Docker, & AWS
- Experience with cloud migrations and modern cloud infrastructure
- Familiar with OpenAPI standards (FastAPI)
