UW Health is Hiring a RN - Ambulatory Surgery Center -GI/Bronchoscopy Procedures Near Madison, WI

80% FTE, 8 hour day/evening shifts, Monday - Friday with rotating start times between 6:30am-9:00am. On-call requirements and weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:
Work in the Ambulatory Procedure Center in the pre/post and procedural areas. Care for patients needing EUS, ERCP, Endoscopies and Bronchoscopies.
Communicate procedural room activities to facilitate efficiency in the procedural case progression and turnover between cases.
Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient's level of complexity.
High acuity unit preferring experience in the ICU, 3 years of IMC experience and or Pre/Post/PACU experience.
Education :
Minimum - Associates Degree – Nursing (ADN).
Preferred – Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN).
Work Experience :
Minimum – Six (6) months of RN experience.
Preferred –
Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations.
Emergency nursing, critical care, medical/surgical, or ambulatory surgery center experience.
Moderate sedation and cardiac monitoring experience.
One (1) year or more of RN experience.
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum – Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations. Basic Life Support/CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if assigned to work in the PACU.
Preferred – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
