Utah Partners For Health is Hiring an Accounting/Grants Administrator Near Midvale, UT

Description

Lead the overall efficient planning, development and functioning of the finance and human resource departments. Implement controls, systems and procedures for protecting assets, monitoring employee time and benefit plans, Grants Management and budgets, and all necessary reporting.

Essential JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains current and accurate financial and payroll related systems and files in accordance with established policies, to ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations and laws.
  • Assist with processing and issuing annual W-2 forms to employees, Processes 1099’s for contractors/vendors, and employer tax information, as necessary.
  • Process request/inquiries from outside vendors for financial information including setting up vendor credit accounts and EFT transactions in accordance with state and federal laws.
  • Review all staff credit card reconciliations, ensuring transactions are coded appropriately.
  • Assist with daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly financial status reports and closings, files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports, as required, for monthly Board review, internal/external auditing and grant funding source requirements.
  • Assist CFO with regular Grant Management
  • Prepare and maintain specific Grant Budgets and track as necessary
  • Oversee maintenance of internal inventory, office supplies and office equipment purchasing & operation; including, ordering, service agreements/updates, maintenance/repair, and compliance with recording, tracking, and reporting, as required.
  • Perform other duties, as required, to support the CFO and UPFH Administration Department

ANCILLARY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform Filing and copying when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by CFO

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
  • 2-5 years related experience in accounting / grants management is recommended.
  • Preferred, but not required: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Accounting or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Ability to build interpersonal relationship and deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as a highly functioning team member.
  • Ability to think critically and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Must be able to sit, stand, talk and hear for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on computer.
  • General office environment conditions, with moderate noise levels.
