Responsibilities

USA Health is looking for Registered Nurse OR Circulator Trainees. This Surgical Services Registered Nurse Circulator Trainee position will join a dynamic Peri-Operative Department team. The successful candidate will be willing to commit to the program for 2 years upon completion of Periop 101 training.

Periop 101 is a comprehensive, blended educational program that is:

• Developed by AORN’s expert perioperative nurse authors
• Based on AORN's latest, evidence-based Guidelines of Perioperative Practice

This program combines a standardized, evidence-based online curriculum and textbook readings with hands-on skills labs and a clinical practicum. Plus, all Periop 101 students receive a 1-year complimentary AORN membership.

While working in an acute care environment, this position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of acute patients. This position provides care in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice, utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data, plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Periop 101 training is 6 months with class time, simulations, O.R. shadowing.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse graduate from an accredited college of nursing.
