Seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner
3-5 Years' experience in a hospital-based cardiology environment-Required
Must be familiar with using an electronic health record & experienced with short term, solution focused, medication therapies
Hospital Employed Position
Inpatient & Outpatient Responsibilities
Manage Inpatient Consult Service & Hand-off communication to cardiologist on service
Provide follow up patient care on inpatient consults
Manage outpatient clinic patients
Perform cardiology stress testing
Perform a physical examination of each patient or assure that a recent physical examination of each patient has been performed prior to the arrangement of and/or provision of cardiology procedural services
Assess physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview and by obtaining health and medical history of patient
Provide preparation, consents and orders for scheduled cardiology procedures
Arrange for necessary testing and/or consultation that may be required
Communicate with the referring physician to assure continuity of care
Communicates and works with NP providers, cardiologists, and other cardiology team members
Manage Outpatient Follow-up Visits & Call Backs
Perform other duties as reasonably assigned
Participates in interdisciplinary continuous quality improvement activities on an ongoing basis
Drive between offices and various meeting locations
