Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology Opening in Massachusetts 40 Miles South of Boston

- Seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner
- 3-5 Years' experience in a hospital-based cardiology environment-Required
- Must be familiar with using an electronic health record & experienced with short term, solution focused, medication therapies
- Hospital Employed Position
- Inpatient & Outpatient Responsibilities
- Manage Inpatient Consult Service & Hand-off communication to cardiologist on service
- Provide follow up patient care on inpatient consults
- Manage outpatient clinic patients
- Perform cardiology stress testing
- Perform a physical examination of each patient or assure that a recent physical examination of each patient has been performed prior to the arrangement of and/or provision of cardiology procedural services
- Assess physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview and by obtaining health and medical history of patient
- Provide preparation, consents and orders for scheduled cardiology procedures
- Arrange for necessary testing and/or consultation that may be required
- Communicate with the referring physician to assure continuity of care
- Communicates and works with NP providers, cardiologists, and other cardiology team members
- Manage Outpatient Follow-up Visits & Call Backs
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned
- Participates in interdisciplinary continuous quality improvement activities on an ongoing basis
