Job Description

The College of Optometry at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis invites applications for full-time non-tenure track positions with an opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive academic community.We seek caring, compassionate optometry educators and clinicians with expertise in a variety of areas including: Ocular and Systemic Disease including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, Ophthalmic Optics, Primary Eye Care, Pediatric Optometry, Binocular Vision, Acquired Brain Injury, Ocular Surface Disease and Dry Eye.Successful applicants will receive a twelve-month appointment.

Qualifications

Required:*Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree, eligible for or active license to practice optometry in Missouri*Experience with, or demonstrated potential to develop, innovative instructional strategies and technology*Expertise in an area of emphasis and contemporary issues in optometry and healthcare *Demonstrated experience in the effective dissemination of evidence-based practice and translating research into clinical care and education*Experience teaching, providing clinical services to, and collaborating with students, patients, and colleagues from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds.Preferred: *License to practice optometry in Illinois*Completed an ACOE-accredited residency to enter qualifications.
