Division Director of Critical Care

The Department of Child Health at the University of Missouri is seeking applicants for Director in the Division of Critical Care.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient care in the PICU
  • involvement in a thriving sedation service
  • Teaching of residents and medical students
  • Clinical research activity is pursued and encouraged.
  • The Director will lead the division’s clinical, research and educational services as well as provide leadership to foster the growth and expansion of the division.

The PICU is a 13-bed unit with multiple pediatric specialties including active general surgery, neurosurgical, ENT, orthopedic surgery and plastic surgical programs. There are approximately 1000 admissions/year. The multi-disciplinary team consists of residents, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, social workers and dietitians. A team of individuals dedicated solely to pediatric transport provides mobile intensive care services to our region.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD / DO
  • Board certified Pediatrician
  • BC/BE Pediatric Critical Care

Candidates will be evaluated on: Those with additional training in Anesthesiology, Cardiology or Pulmonary medicine are also encouraged to apply.
